HawkEye Technology

This project isn’t from the software department, it’s from a marketing course called "Technology Marketing" and I worked with 4 friends to get it done. The project was about coming up with a new idea related to technology and marketing it. We decided on our idea and named it “HawkEye”. The reason why I put this project here is because of my role in the project. I was the digital marketing manager, and I opened the Instagram page, I created a website with contact methods such as email and messages through the website and live chat for our idea, and several QR codes for the app and website. Finally, we got 100 from this project.

HawkEye, is a camera that will be used in classes to provide more effective education in schools. It will be connected to the Internet and use the Microsoft Azure API system to detect students’ emotions and relatively concentration levels. It can detect how many students are in the class, and which people are in the class. After the class it can send notifications to the teacher about:

- Participations
- Students’ general concentration
- Their emotion levels in each day
- Much other information depends on the necessities.

So that the teachers can improve their teachings styles and provide more creative lectures according to the students’ mood.

For the marketing part, we added features for the app, such as face detection, sound detection, motion detection, detecting emotions of the students, measuring concentration levels of the students. We decided the aim of the usage and where to use It, the effects on humans, price, and place. According to our research, the total cost of our product is 300 TL, and we decided the initial sale price will be 499 TL. In my opinion, it’s important for software engineering students to take some marketing courses and learn how the market works, with their abilities in coding, they can improve a lot and take their projects to a completely new level.
